Medium length columns with ground level kits. These low level column kits are of intermediate length between the standard centre columns supplied with tripods and the very short columns previously supplied as separate accessories. Their lengths are defined to achieve the lowest shooting angle witrh legs not extended and opened to the middle angle. Column kits are in Carbon 6X tube and also incorporate the components for the Gitzo Ground Level Set: machined aluminium Safe Lock upper disc, new reversible 1/4'' 3/8'' bolts and a new retractable hook assembly. For series 2 and 3 the aluminium disc is the new Power Disc, that features an additional locking screw to securely lock the head ontyo the disc. These medium columns are the most convenient way to update previous carbon fibre and basalt Gitzo tripods to the Ground Level Set feature. These columns are not compatible with aluminium tripods.

	groud level set This new feature allows you to remove the centre column to save weight and get the camera closer to the ground. Uses existing components: the upper disc with reversible 1/4'' - 3/8'' bolt and the column hook assembly: Remove column and fix the disk directly to the upper casting using the column hook. No tools needed.
	hook This built-in accessory allows you to hang a stabilizing weight (e.g. a full camera bag or a sand/water bag) from the bottom of the tripod centre column. Useful with long/heavy lenses, on uneven ground or in windy conditions.
	safe lock Safe Lock is a special techno polymer that maximises locking torque and equipment stabilisation. It is used on the upper discs of tripods and heads, and in applications where the equipment is rotated and screwed onto the support to eliminate micro movements and vibration.
